Launching a Fundraising Campaign
Procedure for Establishing a Personal Trust Fund for Public Fundraising
Any patient or family member in need of urgent medical financial assistance is welcome to contact the offices of Kav Lachayim to schedule a personal meeting with the organization’s CEO, Ms. Rina Idan, to initiate a personal trust fund.
Required Documents for the Meeting:
- An updated medical summary describing the patient’s condition.
- Copies of relevant medical records.
- Price quotes from overseas medical centers, if available.
- Response from the health fund/insurance company indicating refusal to fund the treatment.
During the meeting, an introduction will take place in which medical documents are reviewed, a sample trust fund agreement is presented, and the fundraising target is determined. Once the trust fund agreement is signed by the patient/applicant and a representative of Kav Lachayim, a bank trust account will be opened in the patient’s name. Fundraising for the patient will be conducted by family members, friends, and associates, with support from the campaign manager, who will guide the family throughout the fundraising journey.
Expenses Covered by the Trust Fund:
All funds raised in the trust fund will be allocated solely to cover medical expenses, with direct transfers to healthcare institutions, pharmaceutical companies, or other providers directly involved in the patient’s care.
