Alon Caspi, a 28-year-old resident of Afula, has been battling severe health challenges since the age of 7.
At the age of 7, Alon was diagnosed with leukemia. After undergoing grueling treatments that included chemotherapy, a bone marrow transplant, and radiation therapy, he emerged victorious and continued with his life.
Alon has dedicated his life to caring for animals. He worked for many years at a petting zoo, earned a professional dog trainer certificate, and continues to assist and support dog owners in Afula and the surrounding areas.
As a gesture of gratitude for the help he received in his own struggles, Alon regularly visits hospitals, dressed in costume and armed with gifts, to bring joy to sick children—just as he once was.
Unfortunately, as a long-term consequence of the intense chemotherapy treatments he endured in his youth, Alon’s kidneys have started to fail in recent years. Recently, he received the devastating news that he will need a kidney transplant to survive.
Let’s come together to help Alon undergo an urgent kidney transplant before he is forced to begin long and arduous dialysis treatments. These treatments will not only drastically reduce his quality of life but also make it much harder for him to carry on with his daily activities.
The cost of a kidney transplant is approximately $200,000.
